Grade 7 Rabbi’s Class

Our rabbi loves to teach.  One of the highlights of our students’ Religious School program is their weekly discussions about contemporary events and Jewish values with the rabbi in the seventh grade.  In addition to preparing for bar/bat mitzvah, they discuss gossip and social media, antisemitism and the State of Israel. 

Students not only grow comfortable for the moment when they will lead their congregation in prayer but also learn how to formulate their own opinions, informed by Jewish tradition and their own experiences.
