Supporting the modern State of Israel is part of who and what we are. In addition to our active and engaging Israel Committee and our sixth graders studying the history and challenges of modern Israel, our congregation supports the Jewish state in a number of ways.
- Visiting Israel. Many congregants visit Israel to nurture their Jewish souls.
- Giving to Israel. Congregants generously support the State of Israel through a variety of organizations, including AIPAC, Jewish National Fund, UJA-Federation, New Israel Fund, and ARZA.
- Celebrating Israel. Every year we celebrate Yom Haatzmaut (Israel Independence Day) as well as observing Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Commemoration Day).
Our rabbi visits Israel on a regular basis.
In good times and bad Rabbi Moskowitz travels to Israel.
He shares his experiences with the congregation in sermons and articles, as well as photographs.
He often writes about issues related to Israel on his blog where you can also find these articles and photographs.
To learn more about Israel in the news read a daily synopsis of articles at Daily Alert.
In addition the congregation regularly learns from the renowned Shalom Hartman Institute.
